6. Keep Good Moral and Ethical Standards

Don’t do something immoral just to get an edge in business. If your competition is doing anything you don’t approve of, you don’t have to follow suit. There are ways to compete without lowering your standards. You will feel better if you find other ways to compete with them and in the long run this will stand you in much better stead.

7. Merge Business And Personal Career Goals

Synergy is key here. Have a good grasp of your and your team members’ own personal goals. Also know clearly what your business goals are. There should always be alignment between them and overlap from time to time. It’s good to work on them in tandem. When you can’t, people will see your lack of passion.
